In electrical power distribution, a busbar (also spelled bus bar, or sometimes as bus bar, with the term bus being a contraction of the Latin omnibus, "for all") is a strip or bar of copper, brass or aluminum that conducts electricity within a switchboard, distribution board, substation, battery bank, or other electrical apparatus.


Its main purpose is to conduct a substantial current of electricity, and not to function as a structural member.


Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve, it is used on electrical equipment, like switchgear. After shrinking, it can protect &insulate or shorten the distance of busbar.

Confirm the Voltage resistant level


Generally speaking, we have three kinds Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve. 1KV, 24KV, 36KV. Based on different leverlBusbar Heat Shrink Sleeve, their thickness are different, price is also different. So when we start to choose it, we should confirm the Voltage first.

Confirm the size of bus bar


Busbar size is determined according to the current electricity. Normally, busbar sizes are as follows.


15*3, 20*3, 25*3, 30*4, 40*4, 40*5, 50*5, 50*6, 60*6, 60*8, 60*10, 80*6, 80*8, 80*10, 100*6, 100*8, 100*10, 120*8, 120*10, 2(60*6), 2(60*8),2(60×10), 2(80×6), 2(80×8), 2(80×10),2(100×6),2(100×8), 2(100×10),2(120×8),2(120×10)…



 

So when we choose Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve, find the right size of busbar. For example, if we use 20*3 busbar, Ф20 Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve will be suitable.


But sometimes, we also have some special size busbar, then how can we choose Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve?


We have a formula: D=L+W

D: The Inner diameter of Busbar Heat Shrink Sleeve

L: Width of busbar

W: Thickness of busbar.
