The quality tips of supporting core of cold shrink tube

For the cold shrink tube,except the silicone rubber material,the other marterial is plastic supporting core. The supporting core is noramlly made of PP material. Regarding to the quality problem of supporing core,I will share some tips for you based on my work experience.

First of all,the high quality supporting core are transparent or milky color,uniform,with less mixing material. For poor quality plastic supporting core,maybe it use recycled material or mix some other material. The color is a little black and uneven. Even there are some minute particles. All of these material will have bad effect on the quality of plastic supporting core.

Secondly, high-quality support cors have suitable thickness. Different thicknesses are used for cold shrink products with different diameter and different shrink ratio. If they are too thin, they will be easily compressed and deformed, which will affect the shrinkage quality and even break, especially for high-pressure cold shrink accessories.

Finally, the high-quality support core has good crimping and moderate strength, and will not slide open before installation. It will shrink smoothly during installation and shrink, and it is easy to control the installation speed. This can make the cold shrink product shrink evenly and guarantee the installation quality.
