How to correctly use cold shrink tube on communication base stations

Cold shrink tube is different from heat shrink tube. The material of cold shrink tube is mostly silicone rubber and EPDM. The "elastic memory" characteristics of rubber also give cold shrink tube an "elastic memory". The cold shrink technology is also called pre-expansion technology. When the cold shrink tube is installed,as long as the core of the cold shrink tube is removed,the elastic will quickly shrink and be tightened on the cable.Cold shrink tube is generally used in communication base station.
Today,we will introduce how to use cold shrink tube on communication base stations.
2. Tighten all jumper connectors;
3. Slowly rotate the supporting core in the direction of the arrow by 2 turns.In this process,we need to gently press the top of supporting core.
Install cold shrink tube:
a).Push the cold shrink tube to the root of the RRU flange joint and slowly rotate clockwise in the direction of the arrow.Then pull out the supporting core by 3-5 times.
b).Note: When pulling out the first 3-5 turns of the supporting core, if you find that the top of the cold shrink tube is not close to the root of the joint.We need push the cold shrink tube forward to the root of the joint while rotating it by hand.It is forbidden to push directly.
When the top of the cold shrink tube shrinks and hugs the root of the RRU joint.We need slowly rotate clockwise at the beginning to pull out the supporting core.
When the cold shrink tube shrinks and wraps to the jumper, quickly rotate clockwise to pull out the supporting core.
4. Repeat installation
Repeat the above operation until all jumpers are installed.
